Edyta Stepien is an artist and creative specializing in video installation and motion design. Her passion for art and design has inspired innovative video installations and experiential design projects for more than a decade.
Edyta’s collaborations with artists, dancers and musicians combine with a multi-faceted artistic background that has included roles as artist, designer, animator, and creative director. This makes her uniquely suited to take projects from concept development to completion. She is able to guide her team through the production process and is equally comfortable getting her hands dirty building, creating, and making.
Edyta has delivered installations and commercial motion design projects for the Chicago History Museum, Chicago Architecture Foundation, The Art Institute of Chicago. She was the creative director behind a spell-binding video wall installation at the center of the redesign of Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel. She has also brought her creative talent to projects for Zero One Projects, Harpo Studios, VSA Partners, Outsider and Towers Productions.
Since 2009 she has been a resident artist at the Chicago Art Department, a non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating new voices, ideas, and practices in contemporary art. Since 2012 she has been the creative director and motion designer developing work in support of the MacArthur Foundation’s Digital Media and Learning Initiative.
